innogy’s newest offshore wind farm, Galloper

353MW development located off the Suffolk coast

Galloper Offshore Wind Farm is located 27 kilometres off the Suffolk coast. The 353 megawatt wind farm commenced operations in March 2018 and was officially opened in September 2018.

Each year its 56 turbines will generate enough green electricity to power the equivalent of more than 380,000 British homes. A 60-strong team operates and maintains the wind farm day-to-day from Harwich International Port in Essex. 

innogy SE led the development and construction of Galloper Offshore Wind Farm and manages its ongoing operation on behalf of the project partners: innogy SE (25%), Siemens Financial Services (25%), Sumitomo (12.5%) and ESB (12.5%) and a consortium managed by Green Investment Group and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (25%).
