Stormy growth off the German coast

The 54 wind turbines of the Nordsee One wind farm currently under construction north of the island of Juist have a planned total capacity of 332 megawatts. It is scheduled to commence operations in 2017 and the projected annual output will be in excess of 1,300 gigawatt hours of electrical energy, enough to supply approximately 400,000 households. The wind farm is owned by Northland Power Inc. from Toronto (85 per cent) und innogy (15 per cent).
