Construction activity is underway at our 10.2MW Dromadda Beg Wind Farm in County Kerry, Ireland
From late September 2017, drivers using the L2015 will have noticed construction activity at the entrance to the wind farm site 4.5 km west of Knocknagashel. Our civil contractors, Michael Doyle Civil Engineering have now started preparation work on the 3 turbine site which will continue through 2017 and into 2018. Turbines are due to start arriving on site in summer 2018.
The wind farm will connect via an underground cable from the control building on the wind farm site into the transmission network at the existing Cloghboola Substation which is located approximately 2 km west of the Dromadda Beg Wind Farm site. The grid connection date for Dromadda Beg is April 2018.
