innogy staff and project contractors celebrate at the inauguration of the wind farm.

The inauguration of Dromadda Beg Wind Farm, innogy’s first wind farm in Ireland, was  officially celebrated on Wednesday 10 April by Hans Bünting, Chief Operating Officer Renewables, innogy SE, with the announcement of a €10,000 annual funding award to the local community within 5km of the wind farm and including the whole village of Knocknagashel. Further details about the funding and how to apply for it will appear on this page in due course.

Pupils from Lyreacrompane National School and project contractors joined other guests at a special event. As part of the school’s green programme, pupils have named the three turbines The Three Amigos.
