One year after purchasing the consented 10.2 megawatts (MW) Dromadda Beg onshore wind project, innogy completed construction of its first Irish wind farm in autumn 2018. The three turbines, situated in County Kerry, are now fully commissioned.
The wind farm connects via an underground cable from the control building on the wind farm site into the transmission network at the existing Cloghboola Substation which is located approximately 2 km west of the Dromadda Beg Wind Farm site.
