Our future vision for your business
Driving the energy transition together with you
We at innogy want to shape a sustainable future and develop innovative solutions. We are certain that industry can drive the energy transition forward decisively and benefit from it at the same time. Here, innovative business models like corporate PPAs will be key.
Our team consolidates the necessary skills and expertise to develop the business case that suits your requirements best.
In order to develop the most suitable green power purchase agreement for every need, our team brings together international experts. We can thus advise you in your preferred language. We are also familiar with the particular conditions in the different global markets and take differences into account from the outset.
At a rate of 15.17 cents per kilowatt hour, businesses in Germany pay for example, twice as much for their electricity as those in Sweden (6.48 cents).* Accordingly, how electricity prices develop nationally depends on different factors. Trading green certificates is also subject to different rules in different countries: In the United States for example, energy generated from bio-diesel and fuel cells is also certified, unlike Europe where only wind and solar energy as well as hydropower and biomass are recognised in this way.

Our experts are based at five different sites around the world and speak six languages. We are therefore familiar with the particular conditions in different markets and can advise international companies according to their individual needs.
Our specialists develop green PPAs tailored to your individual needs. As part of innogy’s Renewables division, we exchange experiences and knowledge with developers of hydropower, solar and wind energy plants around the globe. We can thus give you competent advice, for example when it comes to choosing the right energy type or the ideal location for your plant.
Should a project be built close to your company headquarters or production site? Or would it suit your requirements better to construct it in sunny Southern Europe? How do the costs compare and are there any subsidies available from the government?
We have the expertise and competency to advise you in questions like these. In this way, our experience with renewables can be used to your benefit.
We see ourselves as partners of our customers – in the literal sense. Only together can we achieve a result that benefits both sides. On the one hand, as an energy supplier, we endeavour to fully determine and fulfil our customers’ needs. On the other hand, as an energy generating company, we also need to be able to identify the trends in the electricity market accurately. Most of the projects that innogy develops worldwide are for our own portfolio. We therefore often need to calculate the profitability of our plants for the next 20 years or more.
For these reasons, an intensive consultation process is very important to us. This is the only way for us to determine your long-term needs and to develop a contract that will cover your requirements in the long-term together with you.
What future energy costs are you planning with? How will your energy requirements develop over the next 10 years? Do you want the stability of longer contract terms? Or does a highly flexible five-year agreement suit your plans better? Do you want to see an exclusive project that sends a strong signal in terms of your environmental policy? Or would you prefer to buy a share in an existing plant that has already gained acceptance in the region?
Together with you, we will ask questions like these and find the answers. In this way, we will develop a strong business case that will benefit everyone involved.
