Solar energy

Energy from the sun

The share of photovoltaics in energy generation from renewable sources is constantly increasing. We currently have a number of small photovoltaic plants in Germany. In addition, we have a shareholding in the solar-thermal power station Andasol 3 in southern Spain and develop to large-scale photovoltaic plants in Australia.

Focus on growth

Solar plant in a rural area: towns and municipalities are producing more and more of their own power.

One of innogy’s projects is to look at how to further expand solar power generation. We focus our solar activities on selected regions that get a lot of sun, such as Australia: We have started construction on a large-scale solar farm with a capacity of 349 MWp in New South Wales. innogy is committed to further growing its solar presence, bringing cost-effective renewable solutions to these and other markets.

We are also active here

We believe that the future of global energy supply lies in renewables. innogy provides options for efficient and convenient supply of energy from renewable sources. To do this, we use the following technologies.

Renewables

Biomasse

Biogas

Hydro-power
