innogy is strongly connected to its regions – not only with intelligent grids. Behind innogy, there are a large number of people and faces: employees who value their local region – also outside normal working hours. With the programme Aktiv vor Ort, the Grid segment of innogy supports these social and voluntary activities on the part of its employees. Whether in the Eifel region, Münsterland, the Ruhr region or Hunsrück: if a childcare centre needs a new playground, the village square is to become a meeting point for the old and young, or a clubhouse urgently needs renovation – our employees roll up their sleeves and get to work!
The employees submit their project proposal – innogy reviews it and funds selected activities with up to €2,000 for material costs and one day off work per project. In addition, project team members are needed for already approved projects. The prerequisite is that the project support an institution that has a basic societal function, such as schools, kindergartens, centres for the disabled and sports clubs. Projects could therefore be carried out in the areas of education and childcare, health and social work, the arts and culture, environment and nature conservation, sports, and emergency services.
