Our social commitment is as diverse, as innogy is colourful and creative as a company. When initiating various projects we are in close dialogue with our stakeholders. For instance, we offer specialist support to energy-poor households, in particular for the elderly, as well as education initiatives on energy and technology-related subjects for young and elderly people. Moreover, we promote our employees’ volunteering commitment to social institutions. It is with these and other initiatives that innogy creates a wind of change in the community.
We are there and take care!
innogy operates in many parts of Europe. Wherever we have a presence, we see ourselves as part of society and want to make a contribution to the wider community. We are in a lively exchange with our customers to be aware of the whole spectrum of their needs and options. Being a reliable energy supplier, innogy offers a wide range of forward-looking products and tailored services: from power and gas supplies, through smart storage technologies and efficient energy saving solutions, on to the installation and operational management of photovoltaic and wind power plants. The innogy experts advise and assist you in all matters relating to modern energy supply. And since we value the trust of our customers, we do in fact quite a lot to foster it actively.
Social commitment to the public good
Committed to a decent future
innogy takes ownership. This is why Corporate Responsibility has an important role to play in our company. In terms of sustainability we go well beyond what is required by law. innogy complies with international environmental and social standards and helps take them forward. What is more, all of innogy’s suppliers are selected carefully and checked for their sustainability requirements.
innogy‘s standards have been defined using the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, our Code of Conduct and other detailed directives.
Responsibility for our employees
innogy is colourful, as is our workforce. As a signatory to the “ Diversity Charter” we have committed ourselves to promoting diversity. Our employees are the company‘s single most important asset. We want to see them thrive. And innogy is doing quite a lot for this: from specific further training activities, through work-life-balance programmes, on to flexible occupational safety and health management.
Commitment to research and development
The transformation of our energy system means change. innogy is flexible and innovative. Together with our stakeholders who provide us with important impetus, we keep developing new projects on an ongoing basis. We are seeking solutions for an efficient energy supply system of the future with innovative technologies, products and services. Processes are pooled and projects implemented from planning to reporting in innogy’s central research and development unit. Specifically tailored solutions can only be developed and offered if we understand the changed requirements of our customers. We nurture cooperation with universities and research institutions to live up to this commitment and have also established an Innovation Hub for the development of new business models.
innogy helping refugees
In cooperation with social welfare organisations, innogy offers language courses for refugees at various locations. Employees take the time to teach them basic knowledge of German. The innogy employees are released from work while holding the language courses.
CR Stakeholder Coucil
The CR Stakeholder Council was established to incorporate social needs and expectations as well as current trends into our company at an early stage. It provides important inputs for the development of sustainability and CSR standards.
