Student sponsorship programme

A navigational aid for your career

Two students sit on a bench and talk about their experiences with the student sponsorship programme.

Outstanding programmes for outstanding talent

The innogy student sponsorship programme provides students who excel in their field with an opportunity to get to know a leading energy company and to establish a strong tie with the company. They will also benefit from access to an extensive network comprising young academics and high-ranking representatives from the industrial and scientific sectors. In this way they can receive guidance for their future career.

innogy’s dialogue with universities

As a forward looking company, innogy is committed to scientific progress. In our dialogue with universities we foster collaboration in research and development between universities, research institutes and our company. Representatives from universities and employees of the company exchange their views on the latest energy technology and industry topics, establish networks and discuss opportunities for collaboration. The objective is to identify new areas and approaches in research and to give scientists feedback on the viability and practical relevance of their research.

innogy’s Fellows

The aim of our innogy’s Fellows scholarship programme is to support talented and highly motivated master’s students who have a keen interest in our business segments of renewables, retail, grid and infrastructure in order to establish strong ties between themselves and the company and to possibly win them as future employees.

We support innovative and creative talents at selected universities. We support courses that produce young academics in the fields that are relevant for our business. These include electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering, business administration and engineering, IT and media computer science.

In addition to a monthly grant for up to two years, scholarship holders receive intensive tutoring from a mentor in the field. They will also have the opportunity to participate in taster days and specialist events, doing internships and writing their final thesis in collaboration with the company.

Speculative applications are not possible; candidates are selected on the recommendation of professors in the aforementioned chairs. In addition, we may also award PhD scholarships.
