innogy SE, Eurotest acts as an independent and expert evaluator. In the event that a customer lacks the qualified personnel or time, acceptance tests on power engineering products will be carried out by the manufacturer. This applies to, cables, switchgears, transformers and other equipment.
One particularly special feature is the support provided during long-term tests and tests carried out during the production of cables, according to VDE 0276 part 620. This test determines the residual strength of new and accelerated-aged medium voltage cables after half a year, one year and two years. Due to the great effort required, tests are usually carried out by the manufacturer. innogy SE, Eurotest then monitors the test setup, checks the measuring and testing equipment used for suitability and calibration, and audits the relevant portions of the quality management system. Should the test be successful, innogy SE, Eurotest will then issue a test certificate – this is recognised by the VDE Testing and Certification Institute in Offenbach for the necessary marks approval according to VDE 0276 standard, and on the basis of a cooperation agreement between innogy SE, Eurotest and the VDE Testing and Certification Institute.
