Project Procurement Renewables

Project Procurement has responsibility for the sourcing and procurement support to all of our renewable energy projects in Onshore and Offshore Wind, Solar and Hydro technologies. This covers all of the project phases from development through  construction; installation, maintenance, service agreements, refurbishment; contract management, defect management within Defect Liability Period, life extension, replant, and eventually disposal and decommissioning of the assets. We are responsible for providing procurement services to projects in our core markets of UK, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Poland as well as our emerging business in new markets such as Ireland and the USA.

Project Procurement plays a vital role in managing and mitigating risk in the project development and construction phase of projects by controlling interfaces with external resources in terms of contractual, commercial and lifecycle cost management. Development and implementation of robust procurement and contracting strategies is a pre-requisite to projects being delivered within budget and on programme. leveraging of relationships and spending power across regions also helps to improve bottom line project and company profitability.
